Test Synths soundbank is a very unique soundbank for the Repro 1 synthesizer with a somewhat unusual and one of a kind source of inspiration.
The concept behind this soundbank is not any particular genre or style, rather it is a result of the inspiration and desire to caputure the sounds felt from hearing various demonstrations of rare and early analog vintage synthesizers, ranging from monophonic preset synths to semi modular systems. The patches are inspired by tones from these synthesizers of a more straightforward and song-composition nature, with a utilitarian yet somewhat unique, quirky, and early analog sound signature, especially with synths like the Moog Source, Arp 2600, early Korg models and more.
When these patches are played it really gives this special and different vibe from most common retro preset sounds you hear from software, yet, due to often being rare expensive hardware synthesizers, one may feel they would never get their hands on being able to play those sounds.
